In 2007, the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) conducted a survey of neighborhood involvement and improvement programs operated by city governments throughout the USA. Our goal is to find out the similarities and differences between programs, determine the range of services they provide to their communities, examine which functional areas of local government each focuses on the most, and begin to look at new opportunities to connect, exchange information and learn from each other.

The survey results and directory of city programs contained on this site is an initial result of this effort. If your city did not participate in the survey, but would like to be included, please contact us.

We hope you find the information useful, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions to help guide further refinements to this resource. We also hope you'll contact us with any ideas about how we can improve connections between neighborhood involvement and improvement programs.

Thanks for your good work on behalf of neighborhoods!
